What makes Livingston Hospice special?
Livingston Hospice isn’t the only choice for families seeking hospice services in this area. There are a number of fine companies offering this type of care. However, we believe that we offer a number of unique benefits to our patients, caregivers, and families.
So what makes us different?
Community
We are locally owned and operated. We serve Livingston, Ascension, Assumption, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville, Jefferson, Lafourche, Pointe Coupee, St. Charles, St. Helena, St. James, St. John the Baptist, St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Mary, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, West Baton Rouge, and West Feliciana parishes.
We have a unique knowledge and understanding of your community and your needs.
Diversity
Livingston Hospice utilizes a broad spectrum of specialists, including physicians and nurses specially trained in hospice care. Because of this diversity we are able to ensure that our patients receive the very best in palliative care and symptom management.
Experience and Expertise
Our Medical Director is a local Livingston parish family practice physician with a subspecialty in Gerontology.
In addition to this, we employ only highly trained Nurses, Social Workers, Chaplains, and Home Health Aides. We also provide and support continuing education for all staff.
Intimacy
Livingston Hospice strives to provide levels of personal care that exceed industry averages in every area of care. In other words, our patients get more attention, better care and therefore, a better chance at a better quality of life. You will find that our hospice team members become part of our family, just as you will become a part of ours.
Flexibility
Livingston Hospice has a “flat” organizational structure. This means that there aren’t multiple layers of bureaucracy standing between the patient, the family, the caregivers and our company executives. This means that we can be responsive, adaptive and creative in meeting the unique needs of the patient. It also means that you shouldn’t be surprised when the owners call just to see how things are going.
Perhaps our greatest strength is the fact that we have a passionate belief in the hospice concept and the benefits that it provides to our patients at the end of their life’s journey.
The truest test of Livingston Hospice and our service commitment is determined by our ability to provide:
· Compassion, comfort and support to our patients, their caregivers and families
· An environment that recognizes the patient’s right to live with dignity and make the decisions that affect their life
· An environment that aggressively promotes the patient’s ability to live their life to the fullest regardless of the prognosis
· Professionalism, integrity and excellence in all aspects of our company.
